Wednesday 3rd July, 2019

Our first coffee morning with our neighbours was held on Wednesday 3rd July, 2019 at Masjeed An Nur

Thank you to Claire Mulcock, the Chairperson of the Deans Avenue Precinct Society Inc. who approached the Mosque management to make connections as neighbours. A meeting was earlier set up with Claire Phillips, the Principal Advisor for community planning and partnerships from Christchurch City Council (CCC) in June to make the connections with Mosque management (MAC). During the meeting two decisions were made.

  1. A BBQ for the Deans Avenue neighbourhood was held at Masjeed An Nur hosted by the Deans Avenue Precinct on 25th August
  2. Neighbours coffee morning on every first Wednesday of each month was agreed upon. Which was later changed to every trimester.
